Although it wasn’t as bad as it sounded, it still makes me hesitant to trust the service. Also, I discovered a privacy scandal alleging that Hotspot Shield collects its user’s IP addresses. Its speeds varied a lot and so did the availability of servers and features across platforms.
While I was impressed with Hotspot Shield’s streaming capabilities, I was disappointed with its overall lack of consistency. I was particularly interested in Hotspot Shield’s streaming ability, speed, security, and free version.
That’s why I decided to find out for myself if Hotspot Shield is really as good as it claims. Hotspot Shield has been a popular VPN for years, but when I saw a graphic on its website proclaiming it the “world’s fastest VPN,” I was immediately skeptical.
